Whitetail Deer

This is the type of photo that I strive for and is one that I feel am lucky to have been there to capture. I was walking to nature trails at the Metro park, in the winter obviously, taking some digital pictures of the wilderness and such when these Whitetail deer emerged from the tall grass. The lowest deer in this picture is standing on a frozen ponds across which I took these shots. I had to zoom a bit so luckily I had my tripod with me. These deer are fairly used to seeing people at the park and with no fear of hunters were no very skidish. I took dozens of digital pictures as these deer meandered down the trails with this being my favorite because the doe and yearlings are all facing my way.
